41. Silas James⁶ Purvis (Dolway⁵, Silas⁴, Dolway³, James², Oliver¹) (#745) was born in On the farm at Belle River 06 13 1864. Silas died 12 24 1932 at 68 years of age.

He married Bertha Maude Blain 1901. (Bertha Maude Blain is #746.) Bertha was born in Mosa, Middlesex Co. Ontario 07 22 1880. Bertha was the daughter of Henry Blain and Emma Holman. Bertha died 05 13 1975 in Windsor, at 95 years of age. At 26 years of age Bertha became the mother of Henry Dolway Purvis in Belle River, 09 28 1906. At 33 years of age Bertha became the mother of Hilda Evelyn Purvis in Farm near Puce, Ont., 02 18 1913.

He was baptized in St. Simon & St. Jude as James Silas. Religion: Catholic. At 42 years of age Silas became the father of Henry Dolway Purvis in Belle River, 09 28 1906. At 49 years of age Silas became the father of Hilda Evelyn Purvis in Farm near Puce, Ont., 02 18 1913. He farmed the family homstead of the Martin-Purvis family

Silas James Purvis and Bertha Maude Blain had the following children:

44 i. Irene⁷ Purvis (#232). She married Wilfred Roullier. (Wilfred Roullier is #231.) Wilfred was the son of Theophile Rouillier and Eveline Pinssoneault. Wilfred died 06 03 1959. Wilfred became the father of Donald w. Roullier in Det., 11 24 1922. (See Wilfred Roullier for the continuation of this line.)

Irene became the mother of Donald w. Roullier in Det., 11 24 1922.

+ 45 ii. Henry Dolway Purvis was born 09 28 1906.

46 iii. Hilda Evelyn Purvis (#826) was born in Farm near Puce, Ont. 02 18 1913. She married Edwin Oliver Armstrong 04 14 1936. (Edwin Oliver Armstrong is #827.) Edwin was born 11 22 1908. Edwin died 09 25 1995 at 87 years of age. At 30 years of age Edwin became the father of Howard Purvis Armstrong 01 11 1938. At 31 years of age Edwin became the father of Bertha Jane Armstrong 08 01 1939. At 34 years of age Edwin became the father of Gary Roy Armstrong 10 01 1942. At 40 years of age Edwin became the father of Henry Edwin Armstrong 01 02 1948. At 43 years of age Edwin became the father of Bruce Neil Armstrong 04 14 1951. At 25 years of age Hilda became the mother of Howard Purvis Armstrong 01 11 1938. At 26 years of age Hilda became the mother of Bertha Jane Armstrong 08 01 1939. At 29 years of age Hilda became the mother of Gary Roy Armstrong 10 01 1942. At 35 years of age Hilda became the mother of Henry Edwin Armstrong 01 02 1948. At 38 years of age Hilda became the mother of Bruce Neil Armstrong 04 14 1951.
