He married Hilda Evelyn Purvis 04 14 1936. (Hilda Evelyn Purvis is #826.) Hilda was born in Farm near Puce, Ont. 02 18 1913. Hilda is the daughter of Silas James Purvis and Bertha Maude Blain. At 25 years of age Hilda became the mother of Howard Purvis Armstrong 01 11 1938. At 26 years of age Hilda became the mother of Bertha Jane Armstrong 08 01 1939. At 29 years of age Hilda became the mother of Gary Roy Armstrong 10 01 1942. At 35 years of age Hilda became the mother of Henry Edwin Armstrong 01 02 1948. At 38 years of age Hilda became the mother of Bruce Neil Armstrong 04 14 1951.

At 30 years of age Edwin became the father of Howard Purvis Armstrong 01 11 1938. At 31 years of age Edwin became the father of Bertha Jane Armstrong 08 01 1939. At 34 years of age Edwin became the father of Gary Roy Armstrong 10 01 1942. At 40 years of age Edwin became the father of Henry Edwin Armstrong 01 02 1948. At 43 years of age Edwin became the father of Bruce Neil Armstrong 04 14 1951.

Edwin Oliver Armstrong and Hilda Evelyn Purvis had the following children:

3 ii. Bertha Jane Armstrong (#909) was born 08 01 1939. She married Walter Van Weerdhuizen 10 06 1962. (Walter Van Weerdhuizen is #910.) Walter was born 02 26 1934. At 31 years of age Walter became the father of Edwin Walter Van Weerdhuizen 12 08 1965. At 33 years of age Walter became the father of Daniel Nicholas Van Weerdhuizen 03 17 1967. At 36 years of age Walter became the father of Kay Marilyn Van Weerdhuizen 07 14 1970. (See Walter Van Weerdhuizen for the continuation of this line.)

At 26 years of age Bertha became the mother of Edwin Walter Van Weerdhuizen 12 08 1965. At 28 years of age Bertha became the mother of Daniel Nicholas Van Weerdhuizen 03 17 1967. At 31 years of age Bertha became the mother of Kay Marilyn Van Weerdhuizen 07 14 1970.
